The Mango Smoothie Bowl, among other smoothie bowls, are an easy way to provide and nourish the body with essential nutrients. Prepare them at home in just a few minutes before getting your day started or as a midday energy booster. What do you need to prepare fresh smoothies at home? A blender, I prefer the Vitamix, fresh fruit, veggies, healthy fats, a protein and a base such as water, coconut water, almond milk or yogurt containing live bacteria. The Mango Smoothie Bowl is made up of 4 fruits but the avocado doubles as a healthy fat and protein making it an ideal breakfast smoothie to tide you over til lunch time.

TIP : Store-bought and retail smoothies contain sugar additives and are usually super pasteurized.

Mango Smoothie
Prep time 5 minutes

1 cup of plant-based milk, such as almond, cashew, …
½ lemon juice
½ avocado
3 dates
1 banana
1 cup

1. Add all the ingredients to your blender or Vitamix and blend.
2. Pour into a bowl and add your favorite toppings!
